Tour Summary
A relatively short tour of the Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara. You visit the Ngorongoro Crater is one the largest intact caldera in the world and one of the most spectacular sights in the whole of Africa. The Olduvai Gorge in the neighborhood is the site where some off Africa's oldest hominid fossils were found. The Crater has one of the densest predators populations in Africa. Elephant, lion, zebra, wildebeest and a host of other resident animals are to be found here. Lake Manyara is known for tree-climbing lions that are resident here.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Arusha to Lake Manyara
After lunch at your hotel in Arusha, you depart at 1400hrs driving to Lake Manyara. Enjoy a short game drive en route to the lodge. Dinner and overnight at the lodge/hotel.

Day 2: Lake Manyara to Ngorongoro Crater
Enjoy a morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park whose inhabitants include hippos, monkeys, tree climbing lions, flamingos and other variety of birdlife. Return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 3: Ngorongoro
After breakfast, descend 2000 feet (over 600 meters) to the floor of the crater for crater tour. Explore the forest areas that are inhabited by monkey and elephant, the lake area, where you may see the flamingos and the open savannah where the lions hunt for food. Picnic lunches will be served in the crater. Dinner and overnight at the lodge in Ngorongoro

Day 4: Ngorongoro to Arusha
After breakfast begin the drive back to Arusha. Lunch in Arusha town.
